Fragmentary Landscapes
2007, DV(16mm), Exp./Doc., Color/B&W, Sound, 7:10
Synopsis
“It wasn’t history, not really a documentary. For us it was a sort of vision of the great circus of Time, of this landscapes of events that God alone can contemplate.”
- Paul Virilio, ‘The Avant-Garde of Forgetting’
From my remote, intangible memory of empty landscapes of the United States during 2000-2003, this practice of identification conveys the permanent unsettlement at different times and places.
